Your guests will be talking about your party for months when you host a Hollywood Christmas Party this year. What greater reason to dress up than Christmas? Add a touch of Hollywood and you really have glamor! I've put together some simple ideas that will help you host a Hollywood Christmas Party. The party always starts with the invitation. Your invitation is the first door your guest open to your party. And during a season where everyone is partying make your invitation stand out. Here are a few ideas for your Hollywood Christmas Party.
1. Create a Hollywood DVD to give as invitations. It's easier than it sounds. Just record your invitation to a disc and hand them out. Where your best glamor outfit and using your best dramatic performance to invite your guest to your Hollywood Christmas Party.
2. Purchase elegant invitations and on the front write "And the Nominee for Best Actor is...." When your guests open it they will find their name. Then beneath it write the blurb about your party. You might invite your guest to dress formal and give prizes for the Best Actor and Best Actress, (based of course on appearance).
For party decorations there are a few things you simply must have.
1. A red carpet! Let your guests come in to your home or party space on the red carpet.
2. Cameras with a flash. Anyone who comes not dressed up takes pictures of the guests as they arrive. You can buy disposable cameras with the flash. At the end of the night you'll have a great record of memories. Or you might ask a friend who likes to stay in the background to be the paparazzi.
3. Your Christmas tree would be perfect for a Hollywood Christmas Party with these sensational Christmas ornaments. Buy the inexpensive picture frame ornaments. Download some pictures of your favorite Hollywood Stars like Bette Davis, Cary Grant, Paul Newman. Print each picture and put them in the frames. Place them all over the tree. Make sure you have one for each guest so you can use them for a game later. Have extras!
4. Play a Hollywood Christmas classic on your television just leave the sound off.
5. Play some Hollywood Christmas classics on your CD player like Dean Martin's "Making Spirits Bright" Album. Just make sure it isn't over powering the conversations.
6. You might have a small dance floor where lights are dim for a little Hollywood romance.
For food ideas, think Hollywood, presentation, presentation, presentation!
1. Mini everything. Mini sandwiches, mini chocolates etc.
2. Champagne punch would be perfect. You might also have a small bar where you can serve drinks in glamorous highball glasses (even if they are non-alcoholic).
3. A sushi tray is really Hollywood.
4. Fruit and vegetable tray.
For your dishes you might use small clear glass plates and real silverware. Paper plates and cups don't say Hollywood!
Some games would be great for your Hollywood Christmas Party.
1. Let everyone pick their favorite ornaments off the tree and tell them to show no one. Have them act out a scene from one of that actor or actresses movies. Let everyone guess.
2. Give out a chocolate award for the Best Actor and Best Actress. You might have guests nominate their choice. Let the winners make a speech.
3. Play Hollywood Trivia. Ask trivia questions about Christmas Movies.
Enjoy your Hollywood Christmas Party!
