A modern-day take on the "Beauty and the Beast" tale where a New York teen is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love.

Kyle Kingson has it all, his rich, handsome, and popular. Prone to mocking and humiliating "aggressively unattractive" classmates, he zeroes in on Goth classmate Kendra, inviting her to the school's extravagant environmental bash to which he already has a date just so that he can embarrass her. It is then that Kendra reveals herself to be a beautiful witch and punishes him for his cruelty by condemning him to live as a beast.However, because of his one act of kindness she gives him two years to find somebody who can love him for who he is, and when he does, the girl must prove her love with a kiss. Repulsed by his appearance, Kyle's callous father banishes him to Brooklyn with a sympathetic housekeeper and blind tutor. As Kyle ponders how to overcome the curse and get his old life back, he chances upon a drug addict in the act of killing a threatening dealer. Desperate for his life, the cruel man offers his daughter - Lindy - to take his place. Thus begins Kyle's journey to discover true love.
